Deep Sea Fishing Activities
While on the way to the Continental Shelf we could anchor up and fish in about 180m of water and catch big flathead, red gurnard, morwong, gummy shark, magpie perch and many more using overhead reels.
A bit further out, we anchor up in water ranging from 400m up to 1000m. For a lot of the Deep Sea fishing we use standard reef rigs with the addition of a flashing light to attract the fish.
Out here we could catch blue eye trevalla, harpuka, gemfish and Pink Ling.
