Southern Right Whales rear their calves off Logan's Beach, near Warrnambool between June and September. The best viewing of the whales by boat, is when they are away from the shore. Travelling East towards Childer's Cove, you can take in some beautiful coastal scenery and cliff faces. On the whale cruise every one needs to be alert to locate the position of the great mammals . Humpbacks and Southern Right Whales have been located by observant passengers, which have delighted the rest of the group. Passengers need to be aware there is an exclusion zone around the nursery area at Logan's Beach. Sightings of whales can not be guaranteed because of the unpredictable nature of these marine mammals.
